The People and Performance Committee is an amalgamation of the Police Authority's Personnel Committee, Professional Standards Committee and the Communities, Equality and Diversity Committee. It meets four times during the year and consists of nine members.
The purpose of the committee is to scrutinise the performance and effectiveness of the Constabulary in terms of the quality of services provided to the public and the management of its own officers and staff.
The Committee acts on behalf of the Police Authority with regard to Human Resource matters, complaints against police officers and police staff; and responsibilities with regard to equality, diversity, disability and community engagement on policing issues.
