Reg Watson has been a Member of the Police Authority for the last 27 years and was Chairman from 1989 until June 2009. He has been a County Councillor representing a Carlisle Electoral Division since 1981.
Until his retirement in January 2004 he worked for an engineering company. His other interests include education and charity work. He was awarded the O.B.E. in 2008 for his services to policing and Cumbria.
